What We Do At Shine Like A Diamond we not only clean for our clients, we look after and care for our clients. Many of the clients we have are elderly and are often caring for their spouse while trying to cope with their everyday domestic duties. We use our time with them to help them manage situations and help with any domestic duties they find too strenuous or stressful to complete. Here are some examples of the type of support we provide, alongside our cleaning work, 1. Shopping, 2. Ironing, 3. Making telephones calls for them or sending emails 4. Finding trusted tradesmen when needed 5. Reminding them of appointments 6. Helping them keep diaries 7. Arranging transport to appointments 8. Reassuring them when times are hard 9. Listening to their problems and finding solutions 10. Providing comfort and support Unfortunately we do not provide personal care such as bathing, showering, applying creams and lotions, dressing and toileting. We may only have limited time with them but that time is put to good use. It gives the client peace of mind that they have someone in their lives they can talk to, who reassures them, who helps them, and most of all who they trust. We pride ourselves on that trust and work hard to make sure all are staff of the same nature. All our staffs is CRB checked.
